We are seeking for experienced IT Support and Multimedia Specialist This role will support and maintenance the multimedia and IT equipment.

DUTY STATEMENT
The IT Support and Multimedia Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining multimedia equipment for school events and providing technical maintenance of the school’s IT infrastructure.
The specialist analyses, plans, purchases, installs, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, investigates failures, manages, and upgrades the school’s IT systems, as well as various peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, plotters, copiers, faxes, etc.), digital telephone systems, and interactive whiteboards and panels. The specialist also installs and tests software applications; assesses staff IT competencies and provides training in effective computer use; provides user technical support/help desk services; makes recommendations to management regarding IT equipment and software acquisitions; prepares documentation; and performs other IT-related duties as required by the school.
- The IT Support and Multimedia Specialist is appointed to and released from the position by the School Headmaster.
- The IT Support and Multimedia Specialist reports directly to the IT Manager.
This is a full-time position, five days per week (Monday to Friday). Core working hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.
Duties:
- Event Support (70% of working time):
- Operation of audio, lighting, and video equipment.
- Setup of microphones, projectors, cameras, and multimedia panels.
- Technical support for school events, meetings, concerts, and performances.
- Monitoring the condition of equipment and performing timely maintenance.
- IT Infrastructure Maintenance (30% of working time):
- Replacing cartridges and performing minor repairs of office equipment.
- Connecting interactive panels, TVs, and cables.
- Assisting staff with basic technical issues.
- Analyse data and develop short- and long-term IT development plans aligned with the school’s IT strategy.
- Assembles, installs, configures and maintains PCs/laptops/tablets and other computing devices used in the school’s operations.
- Allocates, maintains and troubleshoots printers, scanners, copy machines, faxes, plotters, interactive whiteboards and panels, multimedia projectors, sound systems, digital telephony (VoIP) system, etc.; liaises with supplier companies and service/technical partners, follows instructions in cases when eliminating issue requires specialist attention or is not possible at the company premises; leads a documentation of hardware dispositions, prepares data for IT inventory and audit.
- Evaluates employees’ IT abilities, gives advice/training if necessary, acts as a technical source in assisting users to resolve network/equipment/software problems, provides technical support via help desk receiving and processing inquiries through emails, telephone and in person.
- Sets up and runs sound and lighting equipment for all school events throughout the academic year. PA/lighting systems technician.
- Perform other related IT duties as assigned.
- PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with at least three years of practical experience in maintaining and repairing computer and multimedia equipment;
- Strong understanding of server, network, and computer systems, including software and peripheral hardware specifications;
- Ability to provide technical support for modern technologies in conformity with school requirements;
- Ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users;
- Fluent English (verbal and written), with the ability to draft business correspondence and technical documentation;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to be flexible when required;
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
