ICan Kids is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Teacher to join their international team. You will inspire young children (2–4 years) from non-English-speaking families — to learn English through exploration, investigation, and play. Our approach is progressive, project-based, and Reggio-inspired, encouraging children to express themselves creatively while developing key life skills.
The successful candidate will combine knowledge of the EYFS curriculum with innovative, child-centered teaching methods, while maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging lessons and activities that support exploration, creativity, and inquiry-based learning.
- Establish and maintain a safe classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and respect.
- Plan, deliver, and assess instruction in line with EYFS standards.
- Use a variety of teaching methods (group work, independent research, play-based learning, experiments).
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and communication with parents.
- Liaise with parents to provide regular updates on student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, assistants, and the wider school team to ensure consistency and quality.
- Set up the learning environment and manage resources effectively.
- Contribute to school events, meetings, and community initiatives.
- Support new staff members with curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Pre-Primary, Nursery, Social or Psychological Education (KYSATS accreditation/approval required)
- Bilingual level of English.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS curriculum and experience applying it in early childhood education.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (experience in private kindergartens is an advantage).
- Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
- Creativity, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
