This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves problem-solving through conversation, and understands the nuances of building mobile products.
Project:
A UK-based social network for photographers, designed to connect creatives, brands, and the photography community. The product includes native iOS and Android applications for end users and a web-based admin panel for content and user management. Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, ready to step into the PO role to drive product decisions.
Quickly translate high-level concepts into user stories and tickets for the development team.
Gather and refine requirements for mobile applications, understanding UX/UI nuances and platform-specific constraints (iOS and Android).
Maintain a "fail fast, fix fast" mindset: rapidly deliver MVP-level requirements, iterate based on feedback, and adjust priorities as needed.
Proactively communicate with the Product Owner and the team through voice calls, chats, and async updates to clarify goals and resolve blockers.
Analyze and understand backend/API requirements to ensure smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.
Support testing and quality assurance by clarifying acceptance criteria and edge cases.
Contribute to shaping the product vision and roadmap, providing insights based on user needs and startup best practices.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in startups or fast-paced mobile app projects.
Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their UX/UI patterns.
Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ fluent), especially for frequent voice calls with international stakeholders.
Comfortable acting as a Product Owner when needed, prioritizing features and making quick decisions.
Ability to deliver clear, concise requirements quickly, balancing detail with speed (80/20 rule).
Familiarity with API concepts and willingness to dive into backend requirements to ensure alignment.
Flexible, proactive, and adaptable mindset, able to work in tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Strong collaboration skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
