Chinese Language Teacher (Part-time)

Central Asian University is seeking part-time professors in Chinese language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chinese Language courses to undergraduate students

• Design and develop learning resources, syllabi, teaching materials, and assessment rubrics aligned with institutional standards.

• Evaluate students’ progress through midterm and final exams, providing constructive feedback.

• Integrate modern teaching technologies and interactive tools into instruction.

Requirements:

Education:

• BA in Education: Chinese Language (preferred)

• MA in Education.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Chinese language education, preferably at higher education institutions.

Hard Skills:

• Proficiency in Modern Standard Chinese Language (reading, writing, speaking, listening).

• Strong knowledge of Chinese grammar, linguistics, and culture

• Ability to design syllabi, lesson plans, and grading rubrics.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to engage and motivate students.

• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in a diverse academic setting.

• Teamwork and collaboration with colleagues across departments.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Desirable Criteria:

• Familiarity with innovative, student-centered teaching methodologies.

• Experience in integrating IT and digital tools into teaching.

• Prior experience in syllabus design at the university level.
