Responsibilities:
- Develop PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) based on process engineering data.
- Prepare process datasheets for equipment (compressors, separators, filters, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.).
- Assist in the hydraulic design of the pipeline, including pressure drop calculations and flow assurance studies.
- Support compressor station design, including selection of compressor type, driver, and ancillary systems.
- Perform process simulations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Define control philosophy and operational sequences in collaboration with the control systems team.
- Ensure that the design meets HSE requirements, including process safety, hazard analysis, and environmental considerations.
- Coordinate with drafting teams for the preparation of 3D models and detailed drawings.
- Review vendor documents for compliance with process requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP sessions, and project progress meetings.
- Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in process design for oil & gas pipelines and compressor stations (minimum 7 years preferred).
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PIPEPHASE, or similar).
- Strong understanding of international design codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
- Ability to read and develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process datasheets.
- Good knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and compressor station operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Experience working on projects in Central Asia is an asset.
