Tax consultant (personal income tax)

What would you be responsible for:

• Preparation and submission of Russian personal income tax returns, notifications on participation in a foreign organization, CFC notifications, application on Russian tax residency certificate, assistance with the tax audits, etc;

• Preparation and submission of Russian currency control reporting: notifications about opening/closing/change of details of foreign accounts and annual cash-flow reports;

• Coordination of foreign local service providers during preparation of personal income tax returns in different jurisdictions outside Russia, where applicable;

• International tax law research (corporate and personal tax);

• Running various tax projects or projects with various lines of expertise under supervision of the tax director/counsel;

• Consulting UBOs or top management on various international tax matters;

• Structuring investments in various countries;

• Preparation of written advice on international tax matters (both in Russian and in English);

• Preparation of marketing materials, participation in webinars for clients.

Whom will be the perfect candidate:

• Higher education (economic or legal);

• At least 2-3 years of experience in tax consulting (Big4, law firms) with specialization in Russian personal income tax, additional experience in a family office or a similar structure would be an advantage;

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Russian personal income tax legislation, including CFC rules;

• Basic knowledge of Russian corporate tax law and experience in dealing with international tax issues would be an advantage;

• Understanding of basic accounting principles, ability to work with financial information;

• Fluent written and spoken English;

• Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of information;

• Communication skills and ability to work in a team.
