Mulberry Academy is seeking a dedicated English-Speaking Early Childhood Teacher to join our progressive educational community located on Nazarbayev University campus. Help nurture our youngest learners through our unique Waldorf-inspired, neuroscience-based approach.
Position Details
Age Group: Seeds (18 months – 2.5 years)
Language: Fluent English required
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Location: Nazarbayev University Campus, Astana
Essential Qualifications
- Early Childhood Development certification or degree (ECE, Child Development, or related field)
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated experience working with toddlers (18 months - 2.5 years)
- Knowledge of play-based learning methodologies
- Calm, patient, and nurturing personality
- Experience with sensory-rich learning environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of developmental milestones for early toddlerhood
- Experience with multi-sensory learning approaches
- Basic understanding of child neuroscience and development
- Understanding of Waldorf/Steiner education principles
- Bilingual abilities (any second language a plus)
Key Responsibilities
- Create nurturing, safe learning environments for very young children
- Implement play-based, sensory-rich curriculum aligned with developmental needs
- Support early language development through storytelling, songs, and natural conversation
- Foster emotional regulation and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with Kazakh/Russian-speaking co-teacher for bilingual exposure
- Document children's growth and communicate with families
- Participate in ongoing professional development in neuroscience-based education
