Wood Mackenzie is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Research Analyst to join our Upstream team. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality research and analysis on upstream assets, companies, and market trends.
- Maintain and enhance asset-level valuations and emissions profiles using proprietary models.
- Interpret complex datasets to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to validate assumptions and gather market intelligence.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in research outputs.
- Produce thought leadership content including reports, presentations, and client briefings.
- Support clients in strategic decision-making, portfolio benchmarking, and investment analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas research, consulting, or industry roles.
- Strong understanding of upstream operations, asset economics, and fiscal regimes.
- Experience with valuation models and emissions analysis is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python).
