Cloud Business Development (BD) is responsible for expanding cloud business by targeting key customers. BD conducts market insight, builds customer relationships, discovers project opportunities, manages project operations, ensures deal quality, and drives continuous sales to achieve business and satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Selector: Analyzes industries and regions to identify valuable sectors, customers, and creates go-to-market plans and event strategies.
- Customer Relationship Builder: Develops systematic customer engagement around cloud business goals and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Opportunity Guide & Lead Generator: Understands customer strategies and challenges to uncover and guide project opportunities.
- Project Leader: Builds project teams, defines expansion strategies, monitors execution end-to-end, manages competition, and coordinates resources.
- Deal Quality Manager: Designs deal models, identifies and mitigates risks, ensures contract quality and builds sustainable profit models.
- Customer Success Enabler: Decodes customer strategies and needs, leverages Huawei’s platform and ecosystem to deliver scenario-based solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Marketing, International Trade, or related fields preferred.
- Fluent in Russian and English (Chinese language skills are a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ICT, cloud computing, software solutions, or systems integration sales or business development.
- Experience serving large local clients (e.g., government, railway, energy, finance, telecom operators) is preferred.
- Familiarity with local enterprise IT decision-making processes and government/SOE procurement procedures.
- Understanding of mainstream cloud service models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
- Strong skills in customer strategy analysis, pain point identification, project execution, and business negotiation.
- Strong goal orientation and achievement motivation with a self-driven mindset.
- Ability to work in cross-cultural environments; willingness to travel and conduct client visits.
- Familiarity with the local ICT ecosystem in Kazakhstan, including key partners and industry associations, is a strong advantage.
