• Salary starting from AED 25,000 per month

Job Purpose:

As a Bunker Trader, you will be responsible for back-to-back bunkers and luboils trading worldwide, maintaining and developing strong commercial relationships with customers and suppliers. You will manage the full trading cycle — from market intelligence, price negotiation, and risk assessment to delivery coordination — ensuring profitability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a strong portfolio of marine fuel clients (shipowners, operators, charterers, etc.)

- Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with bunker suppliers;
- Source and negotiate competitive bunker prices from physical suppliers;
- Execute and monitor bunker stems from enquiry to post-fixture support: prepare and process price indications, bunker nominations, order confirmations via the internal ERP system;

- Monitor credit exposure, execute compliance check and risk potential bunker stem assessment;

- Monitor customer payment status and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables;

- Oversee and manage any commercial disputes or claims, including coordination with legal teams when necessary;

- Prepare and manage commercial documentation, including sales quotations, enquiries, confirmations, contractual agreements etc.;
- Provide market insights, pricing strategies, and supply availability updates to clients;
- Maintain daily contact with customers and suppliers to stay updated on their needs, operations and timely deliveries;

- Actively search for new clients, constantly analyze the market for new opportunities and expand the business;

- Proactively generate leads and conduct client outreach, including cold calling and follow-up communication;
- Stay informed on oil price movements, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical events affecting fuel markets to capitalize on trading opportunities in the bunker market;

- Attend industry events and conferences for networking/business development purposes;

- Demonstrate flexibility with working hours, as the role may require responsiveness beyond standard business timeframes;

Candidate Profile: Experience & Qualifications

- Proven experience in bunker trading with wide portfolio of active clients and suppliers;

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Bunker Trader position with an international bunker trading company or a physical supplier;

- In-depth knowledge of the global bunkering market, shipping industry, (including key ports, suppliers, vessel operators, charterers, etc), related regulations, marine fuels and lubricant grades;
- Proven track record of high performance and profitability.
