HSSE Superintendent / Specialist (Oil/Product Tankers)

Our client is a fast-growing shipping organisation, with offices in Europe and Asia, which deals with transportation of crude and petroleum products.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months of land service in shipping company.
• Minimum 12 months of sea service in senior rank on Tanker vessels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of Tanker vessel operations, safety procedures, and international regulation
• Proven track record in managing vessel operations, including maintenance, navigation, and emergency response.
• Familiarity with industry best practices, industry standards, and class society rules for Tanker vessels.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic environment.
• Teamwork
• Proficiency in using relevant software applications and tools for vessel management.
• Regularly prepare HSSE presentation review, Safety Bulletins Bachelor in maritime and Management CoC holder
• Experience in a shore-based hse superintendent/specialist role position will be a benefit
• Knowledge safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation processes, and statistic review.

  Job Description:
• Perform crew audit in respect of knowledge SMS.
• Vessel inspection in respect of compliance ISM Code.
• Regularly prepare HSE Presentation, Safety Bulletins.
• Control counterparties perform Investigations timely.
• Control preventive actions implemented and followed by counterparties.
• Assisting in development and update of Company procedure and standards, including:
  • Safety Management System;
  • Quality Management System, ISO 9001;
  • Environmental Management System, ISO 14001;
  • Occupational Safety and Health Management System, ISO 45001.
• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of Tanker vessels, ensuring compliance with international regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to vessel crews in matters relating to Tanker operations, navigation, safety, and emergency response.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safe working practices, policies, and procedures for Tanker operations.
• Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence and enhance safety.
• Collecting and processing the information about the accident/incident on entire fleet with following assessment of the investigation process.
• Control that ISM Code and the Company policies, standards and procedures are effectively implemented on the vessels Conducting vessel’s inspections and navigational audits with the following report and rectification process supervision
• Attending the vessels and assisting during critical third party inspections where desirable and in accordance with the Company request.
• Supporting the tech managers in applying navigational practices and bridge procedures in line with regulatory and Company policies, ensuring high standards of navigation to maintain the safety of vessels, crews and cargoes, and the protection of the environment.
• Monitoring reporting from the ships and keeping required control on the performance of the allocated vessels.
• Supporting the office employees in navigation and cargo handling matters.
• Participate in emergency response and crisis management.
• Conducting interviews of prospective employment candidates for Master or Chief Officer.
