Senior Analyst Economist

Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and analytical individual to join IT Park Uzbekistan as the Senior Specialist in the Department of Strategy and Analytics. This role is pivotal in analyzing international markets and industry trends, evaluating the tech ecosystem, and supporting data-driven decision-making to foster innovation and economic development within the park and the broader IT sector in Uzbekistan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's & Master’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, International Economic Relations, International Economics and Management, or a related field

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in economic analysis, market analysis, qualitative research

• Proficiency in economic modeling, forecasting techniques, and data interpretation

• Strong knowledge of the ICT/technology sector, particularly in emerging markets

• Excellent command of statistical tools, data visualization

• Fluent in Russian and English (Uzbek is a plus)

• Strong skills in communication, analytical research paper writing, reporting, and presentation

Responsibilities

• Conduct macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis relevant to the sector

• Monitor and interpret economic trends within the industry

• Develop economic models and projections to support decision making processes

• Produce analytical reports, briefing notes, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and partners

• Collaborate with different departments within IT Park Uzbekistan, external partners on joint studies and projects

• Lead a small team or task force when assigned for specific research or analytics projects

Nice to have

• Experience working with government agencies or international development organizations, think tanks

• Publications or academic work in economics or digital economy etc

• Familiarity with Uzbekistan’s regulatory and investment framework for ICT

• Project management or consulting experience

• Knowledge of data science tools (Python, SQL, Power BI)
