Manual QA engineer

About the project:
We are looking for an Middle QA Engineer to work with our Loan Origination System.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of the testing process. The product automates credit processes, with a strong focus on stability, precise data handling, and robust API interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements;
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and checklists;
• Perform manual testing (ad-hoc, functional, regression, acceptance, and re-testing);
• Conduct UI and API (REST) testing;
• Validate data using SQL queries;
• Maintain and improve test documentation and test plans;
• Participate in sprint/release planning from a QA perspective;
• Proactively identify risks and suggest process or product improvements.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of manual QA experience;
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and testing best practices;
• Strong skills in requirement analysis and identifying test needs early in the process;
• Hands-on experience with UI and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger);
• Proficiency in working with databases and writing SQL queries;
• Strong analytical thinking and technical mindset, with the ability to perform manual calculations and understand complex logical conditions.
• Intermediate or higher level of English (written and reading, basic spoken communication).

Nice to have:

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI);
• Experience writing automated tests (e.g., in Python, JavaScript, or similar);
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
