The Singapore campus of James Cook University is fully owned by James Cook University Australia, which is ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world1. James Cook University Australia established its Singapore campus in 2003 as part of its expressed intent of internationalising its activities and offers a suite of university level programs at the Singapore campus covering the areas of Business, Information Technology, Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Science, Commerce, Accounting, Aquaculture, Environmental Science, Games Design, Tourism and Hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Manager to design marketing strategies to recruit students from Kazakhstan
- Implement agreed strategies for the Kazakhstan market to achieve student enrolment targets
- Operate within the established budget provided for in country marketing
- Provide agent training and support to ensure agents operate in accord with JCU Australia's and Singapore's guidelines
- Build relationships with appropriate local institutions through on-going communication and attending events, fairs and exhibitions
- Provide monthly performance reports to the Reporting Manager
- Provide market intelligence to the Reporting Manager on marketing opportunities
- Manage personal workflows and work collaboratively within the diverse University environment
- Actively engaged Central Asian community at JCU Australia and Singapore
- Keep a diary of appointments
Key selection criteria:
- Bachelor level degree with a marketing major
- Able to speak and utilize Russian at expert level is a must
- Preferably someone who can speak Kazakh
- Strong communication and language skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- Significant experience and expertise in education marketing
- Strong understanding of contemporary marketing methodology including the use of technology
- Well-developed skills in networking and building relationships
- Independent with the ability to work in a diligent, organised, proactive and methodical manner
- High level IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with The Australian Regulatory Framework, CPE EduTrust and Advertising Guidelines in Australia & Singapore preferred
