2.1. Monitors, identifies and analyses all projects costs with a view of facilitating the completion of the project at minimum cost and within budget limits;
2.2. Monitors and analyses all the progress of the construction activities, identifies any variances between the planned and actual progress and advises project management of their impact on the overall program;
2.3. Suggests remedial action as necessary;
2.4. Provides overall supervision to his subordinate engineers carrying out the functions of planning, cost control & quantity surveying;
