Good technical experience in PV power plant construction, commissioning and maintenance including MV/HV transform stations.
Able to communicate appropriately and manage to all persons on site.
Bilingual in both English and Arabic is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and availability to obtain permit to drive official vehicles on-Site.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Must be able to travel on short notice and be available during non-traditional working hours.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Project, Word and Outlook and proven ability to learn new software programs when needed.
Job Description:
Inverter & DC System Operations & Maintenance: o Ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PV inverters, DC combiner boxes, and cables. o Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of inverters and DC electrical networks. o Identify faults, inefficiencies, and potential failures in inverters and DC systems. o Assist in root cause analysis of recurring inverter and DC-related failures.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: o Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for inverters and DC circuits. o Lead corrective maintenance efforts, ensuring quick resolution of failures. o Maintain detailed maintenance logs, tracking failures, repairs, and solutions.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization: o Utilize SCADA systems and data analytics tools to track inverter and DC field performance. o Monitor voltage fluctuations, current imbalances, and temperature anomalies in DC components. o Identify efficiency losses and recommend improvements for optimal energy yield. o Coordinate with the O&M team to implement inverter firmware updates and parameter adjustments.
Equipment & Spare Parts Management: o Ensure availability of critical spare parts for inverters and DC field components. o Coordinate with procurement teams to manage stock levels and ensure timely restocking. o Track and report equipment failures, ensuring proper documentation.
Compliance & Safety Standards: o Conduct safety toolbox talks to enhance team awareness of electrical safety practices.
Risk Management & Incident Investigation: o Identify potential hazards in inverter and DC system operations. o Investigate system failures, document findings, and implement corrective measures. o Assist in developing risk assessments for inverter and DC field operations.
Stakeholder Management & Coordination: o Act as a technical liaison between the O&M team, EPC contractors, OEMs, and external regulators. o Provide technical expertise during inspections, audits, and operational reviews. o Ensure alignment between plant operations and equipment manufacturers’ recommendations
