Painting Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Painting Technical Manager to lead our technical operations in surface preparation and industrial coatings. This multifaceted role combines hands-on technical demonstrations, sales support, customer relationship management, and technical oversight. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of industrial grit blasting processes, coatings application, and inspection methodologies, and will play a key role in delivering technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

Technical Leadership & Demonstrations

• Conduct live demonstrations of grit blasting and coating equipment, including surface preparation, application, and inspection techniques.
• Provide technical training to clients and internal staff on the proper use and maintenance of blasting and coating equipment including coatings inspection equipment.
• Serve as the technical authority on industrial coatings and surface preparation standards (e.g., ISO, SSPC, NACE).
• Offer on-site support for client trials and application projects, ensuring best practices are followed.

Client Interface & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients across industrial, marine, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
• Serve as a technical advisor and consultant, identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Support customer projects from initial specification through to completion, including post-application troubleshooting if required.

Sales & Business Development

• Drive direct sales of surface preparation, blasting, and coatings inspection equipment and services.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals, highlighting product benefits and ROI.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and market sectors.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the development of pricing strategies and marketing plans.

Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Demonstrate and train in the use of coating inspection tools (e.g., DFT gauges, surface profile testers, holiday detectors, adhesion testers).
• Assist customers in establishing and verifying quality control standards in accordance with international coating and blasting specifications.
• Keep abreast of new industry technologies, equipment innovations, and coating systems.
• Требования:
• Must be multilingual to a technical standard in Kazakh, Russian and English.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industrial painting and surface preparation industry.
• Strong working knowledge of grit blasting techniques, industrial coatings, and inspection standards.
• Proficient in using blasting equipment, spray systems, and coating inspection tools.
• Demonstrated experience in technical sales or business development is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and presentations.
• Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) for client visits and demonstrations.
• Certifications such as NACE/AMPP Coatings Inspector Level 1 or higher, or SSPC certifications, are a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with ISO 8501, ISO 12944, SSPC standards, and related surface preparation and coating guidelines.
