Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU) is established according to a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022 and is located in the Innovative Research-Industrial Cluster - Tashkent Pharma Park.

The University has established partnerships with the University of Sunderland and De Montfort University (UK) and plans to launch its academic programmes in Pharmacy and Life Sciences in October 2022.

The official language of the University is English – all academic programmes are validated by British partners and taught in English, and internal and external business correspondence with international partners is held in English too.

Main duties & Responsibilities

• To ensure the rule of law and legal enforcement of law within University activities
• To implement control over the compliance with the legislation of regulatory and other documents developed/adopted by the University
• To conduct contractual, legal and claim work, ensuring reliable protection of property and other interests of the University
• To carry out an examination of orders, contracts and other documents of a legal nature for their compliance with the law
• To provide legal advice on the decisions of the University that affect the realisation of the rights and freedoms of individuals and legal entities
• To participate in the consideration of applications, proposals and complaints which indicate violations of the law in the activities of the University
• To provide legal assistance to the Trade Union Committee of the University employees in the exercise of their powers
• To develop current and future programs of the University's rulemaking activities, implementation and control over their implementation
• To fulfil other instructions of the Rector of the University

Qualification

• First degree in law or related areas
• Be competent in English, Uzbek and Russian, both oral and written

Experience

• At least three years of experience in the legal service
• Evidence of working with teams
• Evidence of drafting, reporting and presenting legal documents
• Experience in UK legislation, international commercial law and cross-border legal agreements in advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to fill various roles, work effectively in a group and attention to details
• Understanding of educational environment
• Strong sense of corporate commitment to the mission and objectives of the University.
