Construction Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer with a strong background in both yard-based fabrication and site construction support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in updating engineering documentation, supporting constructability planning, and ensuring successful delivery of construction engineering across multiple disciplines (structural, piping, E&I).

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Engineering within EPC projects
• Proficient in reading and preparing shop drawings and isometric drawings
• Fluent written and spoken English knowledge
• Working knowledge of construction procedures, NDT, coatings, mechanical completions, and welding documentation
• Familiarity with HSE, QA/QC, and construction risk mitigation principles
• Proficient with engineering software tools and MS Office
• Strong coordination and communication skills for interfacing with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Experience in heavy lifting planning and weight control is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in offshore modules, industrial plants, or energy sector projects
• Knowledge of constructability best practices and integration during design phases
• Previous work on brownfield or revamp projects desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and finalize detailed engineering documentation based on vendor drawings and site modifications.

• Prepare final dossiers, mechanical catalogues, and as-built documentation.

• Review and revise engineering documents for:

  • Structural fabrication and erection

  • Piping fabrication and erection

  • E&I installation

  • NDT, coating, and mechanical completion procedures

  • Weight control and heavy lifting strategies

• Support detailed constructability planning:

  • Sequence planning and construction priorities

  • Access feasibility for welding and painting

  • Integration of constructability principles into design

• Prepare shop drawings, installation procedures, and work documentation:

  • Welding, NDE, piping isometrics, instrumentation, and equipment installation

  • Cable tray runs, support structures, and temporary works

• Assist yard and field operations with fabrication/construction queries

• Develop and issue As-Built Drawings and As-Built Dossiers

• Prepare method statements and assist with HSE and QA/QC compliance
