The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Data Modeler/Engineer to work on a project for one of our customers in Georgia.
The customer is the first fully digital neobank in Georgia, existing solely on mobile phones. Since 2015, the company has been providing convenient and secure financial services, including quick loans, money transfers, utility payments, and card management, all without bureaucracy or hidden fees.
The project is modernizing data infrastructure by migrating legacy pipelines to a new platform, implementing an on-premises LakeHouse architecture, applying PII anonymization/tokenization, and developing analytics applications for users and automated systems.
Responsibilities:
- Designing data models that support the migration of legacy pipelines to a modern data platform.
- Creating and maintaining data models aligned with on-premise LakeHouse architecture.
- Developing data structures that enable efficient anonymization and tokenization of PII.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure data models support scalable and maintainable pipelines.
- Building dimensional models to power user-facing and machine-driven analytics applications.
- Ensuring consistency and integrity of data models across systems and workflows.
- Documenting and governing data models to align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
Must-haves:
- Experience in data modeling, database design, or related role, for 5+ years.
- Expertise in normalization and denormalization techniques.
- Proficiency in Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling and data flow diagramming.
- Strong experience in dimensional modeling (Star & Snowflake Schemas).
- Hands-on experience with Data Vault 2.0 methodology.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational database management systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience in data modeling tools such as Erwin, SAP PowerDesigner, or DBT.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and how they interact with different data models.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and modeling techniques.
- Experience working in real-time analytics or streaming data environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Python, Scala, or other scripting languages for data modeling automation.
