Android Developer (Kotlin+Java)

We are looking for an Android Engineer to join an exciting project for US-based customer in the fleet management domain.
Our client specializes in GPS solutions for vehicle tracking, offering real-time insights and data analytics for businesses of all sizes.
The solution is live and scaling, with a strong in-house mobile engineering team you will collaborate with.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve mobile applications for Android platform.

• Work with backend developers on API design

• Collaborate with other mobile engineers, QA, and backend teams to deliver high-quality features.

• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain code quality standards.

• Create design and process documentation including flow diagrams.
  

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.

• Strong expertise with Kotlin (and Java).

• Experience with Material Design.

• Familiarity with key libraries and services (Jetpack, Room, Hilt, Google Maps).

• Experience with designing and using RESTful APIs to access backend services.

• Strong knowledge of modern user experience design principles, patterns, and best practices, including handling multiple screen sizes.

• Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning and review tools, specifically Git/Bitbucket.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and build automation.

• Experience working with remote teams and strong communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.

• Strong English for direct communication with the client (B1+ and higher).

• Availability for partial overlap with US working hours (up to 8 PM Minsk time).
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with performance optimization and profiling.

• Previous work on GPS, mapping, or fleet management apps.
