Requirements:
Education: university degree – Engineering/Construction.
Experience: minimum 15 years Mechanical / Electrical Engineer experience in Construction/Oil & Gas.
Languages: English – upper-intermediate.
Technical skills and qualification: computer skills, skills of working with data bases; skills of preparing and processing documents.
Functional skills: managing priorities, follow up skills, time management.
Personal traits/attitudes: attentive to details; diplomatic, result-oriented, self-driven, interpersonal abilities, flexibility, adaptability.
Other: good knowledge of computer and office programs.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain weekly detailed Construction Schedule (for each construction function like mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation etc.).
- Project Execution: update/track cost & schedule for all design, construction, acceptance & project close out activities; responsible for administering the project change control process;
- Collect, analyze & update contractor’s schedules
- Develop recovery schedules
- Prepare and update Critical Path Analysis
- Perform Contract Cost analysis
- Responsible for earned value & variance analysis reporting
- Collect daily progress reports from Contractors.
- Prepare and update contractor manpower histogram (both planned and actual) for the entire construction schedule period
- Preparation of Daily Site Report (collecting info from Contractors, Contractor’s PCEs, Company Engineers etc.).
- Prepare Weekly meeting agenda construction report
- Oversee/supervise the on-site document control function
- Provide monthly construction progress, cost safety, constraints etc.
- Inputs to office Project Controls Engineer and Project Manager for monthly portfolio review meeting.
- Assist and advise the Project Manager to ensure that all mechanical works, HVAC, Plumbing and sanitary works meet the technical pre-requisites of the project;
- Submit daily, weekly, monthly field reports of all mechanical activities to the Project Manager;
- Advise Project Manager of any mechanical related issues that could, if not corrected, lead to a reduction in safety, quality, environment and where potential delays in progress could occur;
- Monitor the Contractors mechanical activities. Ensure compliance to project documents / drawings in conjunction with other BV personnel.
- Make sure that any activity offered for his inspection has an approved shop drawing, method statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP);
- Complies with Bureau Veritas Corporate standards and BV 3 Absolutes (Safety, Ethics, Financial Control).

- Watch for potentially hazardous working conditions or work practices and report them to his or her supervisor(s) as soon as possible.
