Trading Operations Engineer (DevOps/SR Engineer)

At the moment, there are several open positions – middle and senior/lead.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure smooth, real-time functioning of high-frequency trading platforms.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate technical issues promptly to guarantee maximum system uptime.
• Evaluate system performance data (such as latency) through tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
• Work closely with developers, traders, and infrastructure specialists to bolster system stability and performance.
• Automate various operational tasks and deployments to improve workflow efficiency.
• Utilize configuration management solutions such as Ansible and assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Join the on-call schedule to address urgent incidents outside standard business hours (since this team is being formed from scratch, the schedule can be negotiated).
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7 (depends on the grade) years of professional experience in IT or software development.
• Solid background in automation and scripting with Python.
• Advanced understanding of Linux environments, including shell scripting and network configuration.
• Hands-on experience using monitoring platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, ElasticSearch, or ClickHouse.
• Knowledge of configuration management with Ansible and continuous integration/delivery systems.
• Readiness to work in shifts and quickly adapt to the fast-paced nature of HFT operations.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level is required.
  

Bonus Attributes

• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud technologies (must have for Senior grade).
• Background in high-frequency trading or other systems requiring ultra-low latency and distributed architectures.
• Understanding of incident response processes and industry standards.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration solutions, for example, Kubernetes.
