Central Asian University is seeking a full-time professional with expertise in international law to provide comprehensive legal support for the university’s global initiatives. The role involves the development and review of contracts, as well as advising on compliance with international standards and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Legal support for international agreements, cooperation contracts, and memorandums with foreign universities and organizations.
- Drafting and legal review of contracts related to academic exchanges, grants, research projects, and internships.
- Advising on the application of international law in educational and research activities.
- Legal support for accreditation and licensing of academic programs at the international level.
- Legal assistance in hiring foreign faculty and enrolling international students.
- Representing the university’s interests in international negotiations and consultations.
- Monitoring changes in international educational and migration law.
- Developing and overseeing internal documentation in compliance with international standards and local regulations.
- Preparing legal opinions and recommendations regarding the university’s international activities.
Requirements:
- Higher legal education (in International Law).
- At least 3 years of experience as a lawyer in educational institutions and companies.
- In-depth knowledge of international private and public law, education law, and migration legislation.
- Experience in handling international contracts, grants, and academic agreements.
- Excellent command of English (at least Upper-Intermediate level); knowledge of additional foreign languages is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft legal opinions and documents in both Russian and English.
- Attention to detail, high level of responsibility, and ability to manage a large volume of information.
- Proficient in MS Office and legal database tools.
