Backend Developer

The Astana International Financial Centre Authority is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Manager (Backend Developer) to join our growing Technology Department. If you’re passionate about building high-performing backend systems and shaping the digital core of innovative platforms, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust backend solutions using Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.

• Build and maintain microservices architecture for modular and scalable applications.

• Integrate SSO solutions such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or SAML for secure and seamless authentication.

• Ensure application security and compliance with industry and internal standards.

• Monitor and optimize system performance, uptime, and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, PMs) throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Create and maintain clear documentation, including diagrams, code comments, and design documents.

• Work with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) when applicable.

• Contribute to Agile development processes and participate in code reviews.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and development best practices.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Department Director.

Qualification requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software development.

• Certifications in software development, ITSM, or desktop administration are a plus.

Skills & competencies:

• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Maven, PostgreSQL, and Git.

• Familiarity with REST, RPC, and SOAP APIs.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).

• Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka is a plus.

• Knowledge of system design, backend logic, and API integration.

• Ability to lead and collaborate in Agile environments.

• Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience in technical team leadership is an advantage.

• Language proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
