UI/UX Designer

The Astana International Financial Centre Authority is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Manager (UI/UX Designer) to lead the design of exceptional user experiences across our digital products. This role blends creativity and precision, combining user-centered design principles with technical awareness to deliver intuitive, functional, and beautiful mobile app and web interfaces.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager (UI/UX Designer), you will:

• Design and refine user interfaces for mobile apps (iOS & Android) and websites using Figma.

• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs aligned with business goals and user needs.

• Develop and maintain scalable mobile app design systems to ensure visual consistency.

• Conduct usability research and testing to identify user pain points and improve key user journeys.

• Analyze existing interfaces using data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, analysts, and QA engineers to implement design solutions effectively.

• Ensure adherence to platform standards (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design) and accessibility best practices.

• Participate in A/B testing and use data insights to optimize user experiences.

• Document design processes and present solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure secure and compliant documentation according to AIFC’s internal policies and national legislation.

• Support business and functional requirement gathering for new systems implementation.

• Lead or contribute to building a unified, scalable design system.

Qualification requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, design, software engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience designing mobile applications (iOS, Android) and web products.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma (Middle+/Senior level).

• UI/UX or Mobile/Web Design certifications are an advantage.

• A strong portfolio showcasing your design projects is required.

Skills & competencies:

• Proven experience delivering visually impressive and conversion-focused UI/UX designs.

• Strong knowledge of mobile development constraints and best practices.

• Familiarity with Customer Journey Mapping (CJM) and user research techniques.

• Understanding of A/B testing and data-driven design decision-making.

• Experience designing for cross-platform consistency (iOS & Android).

• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript is a plus.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

• Project management or business analysis experience is a plus.

• Design team leadership experience is a strong advantage.

• Language proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
