Job description:

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the manufacturing and installation of machinery monitoring systems and their components. This role requires an advanced understanding of engineering principles, creativity, and an ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, budgetary, and timeline requirements.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

• Preparation of technical documentation at various stages of development of a project for automated process control systems

• Survey and collection of initial data for design

• Supervise design, installation, and commissioning of a machinery monitoring system

• Develop operational procedures and guidelines: operating manuals, instructions, technical descriptions and programs

• Develop an estimate for work performed

• Lead design projects from concept through installation, managing timelines and resources

• Prepare and present design proposals and reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Participate in design reviews, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and risk assessments

• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software

Education / Experience:

• A Bachelor’s or graduate degree in the field of Industrial automation, Mechanical or a related Engineering field

• More than 7 years of experience in design engineering, with a proven track record of successful projects.

• Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards in the Oil & Gas will be an advantage.

Qualifications/ Knowledge:

• English – Fluent, Russian - Native

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc).

• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in developing design documentation for automated process control systems of an industrial facility (preferably in the oil and gas industry or in hazardous environments)

• Proficiency in developing electrical circuit diagrams, drawings, assembly drawings, and specifications

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical circuit diagrams, and wiring diagrams

• Strong knowledge of the norms and regulations in classified industrial facilities

• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and regulations

• Proficiency in developing and preparing estimate documentation for installation/commissioning works will be an advantage

• Excellent writing and grammar skills

• Proficiency in Word and Excel

Schedule: Full Time, 40-hour workweek, overtime-exempt.
