An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a rapidly growing international payments company operating in the crypto sector. With entities across multiple countries, the company is expanding its finance function and is seeking a Georgia-based professional to support both internal financial operations and local statutory reporting requirements.

This role will report to the Director of Finance and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across various jurisdictions. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Georgian statutory requirements, and supporting the global finance function.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records for the Georgian entity
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including ledger management and reconciliations
Prepare and submit statutory financial reports in accordance with Georgian regulatory requirements
Manage local tax reporting and filings, including VAT and corporate income tax
Assist in payroll accounting and coordination with external tax reporting as necessary
Support external audits and liaise with local auditors and advisors
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial processes

Requirements

Experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting in Georgia
Knowledge of Georgian tax and compliance frameworks
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CPA or local equivalent)
Strong Excel skills, with the ability to use formulas and tools to solve problems
Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero is a plus
Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Experience working in or with companies in the financial services or crypto sectors is desirable but not essential
