Head of indirect procurement group

The Head of indirect procurement group is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for indirect goods and services across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing procurement processes, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality and timely delivery from suppliers. The position involves managing vendor relationships, leading a procurement team, and collaborating with various departments to meet the business procurement needs.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement category strategies for indirect goods and services.
- Align procurement strategies with the organization’s overall business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Oversee P2P process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage and optimize procurement systems and tools (e.g e-auction, 1C and etc).
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor and report on procurement spend, savings, and financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations) to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect goods and services.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
